From his initiation into the steel pan artform  in the NYC of his youth, mentored by 

Trinidad’s Ellie Mannette, the inventor of the modern steel pan, Jeff has forged  a career

as a multi instrumentalist with steel pan as

a specialty. As a bandleader, composer, arranger and recording artist he has collaborated across genres with  Olatungi, George Benson, the Grateful Dead and been Grammy nominated. As an educator he has developed and led steel band programs at all levels as well as artist in residencies with the San Francisco Symphony and universities nationwide.

His formative years as a vocalist/guitarist in the Virgin Islands set the stage for his future

international performance experience.

Dre is a man of culture and wisdom shaping

 his career as a record producer across decades and a broad musical spectrum. Credits include Musical Supervisor  & Producer for Balance Edutainments’ , IMA award winning Best Children’s album, “Pachas Pajamas” featuring Mos Def, Cheech Marin, Rev Mikel Beckwith and Lester Chambers.
