Young artists socializing prisoners in Nepal

KATHMANDU, March 23 (Xinhua) — With the slogan “CHALLENGING ATTITUDES, TRANSFORMING LIVES”, a group of young artists are endeavoring to socialize prisoners in Nepal.
Heartbeat, a non-government organization of a group of young enthusiastic artists is conducting different activities through art for socializing the prisoners in different prisons in the country.

Street Children who’s Responsibility???

Children are an integral part of the society and somewhere we are responsible for the life they lead. As to talk about street children, the very first things to note are that they are children too. So, whatever rights other children are living under, they too have an equal right to share. The children’s rights basically have four pillars- Right to Survival, Right to Protection, Right to Participation, and Right to Development.

Since more than a few years a group of volunteers has been going to Kathmandu´s streets meeting up with street youth friends; every tuesday from 6:00 am when the rain starts or when the rain hasn’t stopped yet we let kids have a cup of tea, eat donuts, listen to music, talk about life, make plans, talk about the weather, dance, paint, and draw.
